The box turns red or says the link is not valid.

"Please paste a valid link"

The text in the box does not contain a web address we can read. Here is how to copy a proper link.

The link belongs to a site this tool does not work with. Here are the sites that do, and what we leave out.

The most common message. It nearly always means the post is not public, or the link is not the post itself.

"Too many requests" or "rate-limiting us"

Either you or many visitors sent requests too quickly. Waiting a minute fixes it.
