Are these image, video and audio tools really free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use, needs no account and adds no watermark to your result.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The work happens inside your browser on your own device, so your pictures, videos and audio are never sent to us. The video and audio tools download a processing engine of roughly 30 MB the first time you use them, and it is then kept by your browser. Only that engine is downloaded, never your file.
Is there a size limit?
Video and audio tools accept files up to 400 MB each. Image tools have no fixed limit, but very large pictures need more memory, so they can be slow on an older phone.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes, on any modern browser on iPhone, Android or a computer. Video tools are slower on a phone because your own device does the work, so shorter clips finish faster.
Which tools can I use to make a file smaller?
Use the Image Compressor or Resize Image to KB for pictures, the Video Compressor for video and the Audio Compressor for sound. Each one shows the new size before you download.
Can I change the format of a file?
Yes. The Image Converter, Video Converter and Audio Converter handle most common formats, and the converters section has one-click pages such as PNG to JPG, MP4 to MP3 and WAV to MP3.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything opens in the browser. There is no app, no extension and no sign-up.
