Tips
Tips for the best result
64 to 96 kbps is fine for speech, and 128 kbps and up for music.
Mono cuts the size roughly in half and suits voice.
Keep the original in case you need better quality later.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller can it get?
A 192 kbps file at 64 kbps is about one third of the size. Mono reduces it further.
Will it sound worse?
Lower bitrates lose some detail. For voice, 64 to 96 kbps still sounds clear.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The work happens inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they are gone when you close the page.
