How to save a public video to your phone, step by step
The same three steps work for almost every platform: copy the link, paste it, save the file.

Before you start
A downloader can only reach what anyone on the internet can already open. If you need to log in to see a post, or it sits inside a private group, no web tool can fetch it. Check that the post opens in a private or incognito window first. If it does, it is public and should work.
Also decide where you want the file. On a computer it will go to your Downloads folder. On an iPhone it goes to the Files app, and on Android to the Downloads folder.
Step 1: copy the link
Every app has a Share button, usually an arrow or paper plane under the post. Tap it and choose Copy link. On a computer you can copy the address from the browser bar instead. Short links such as vm.tiktok.com or pin.it work as well, because they redirect to the full post.
If you copied a caption together with the link, that is fine. The input box picks the first web address out of whatever you paste.
Step 2: paste it into the downloader
Open the page for that platform and paste the link into the box, or press the Paste button. The request starts by itself. In a few seconds you will see a preview and one or more download buttons. Photo posts with several images show one button per image.
Step 3: save the file
Press the download button. On Android the file appears in the notification shade and in your Downloads folder. On iPhone, Safari asks whether to download; confirm, then open the Downloads icon in the address bar and tap the file to preview it. Use the share sheet and choose Save Video to move it to your camera roll.
If it does not work
Most failures come from a private or deleted post, a link that points to a profile instead of a post, or the platform briefly limiting requests. Open the link in a private window to confirm it is public, wait a minute and try again. Our guide on why downloads fail covers the rest.
