How to download a Pinterest video pin

What you can save from Pinterest

Public pin images in the largest size Pinterest publishes.

The Video tab on the Pinterest page of this site saves an MP4 video. No account is needed and nothing is installed.

Step 1: copy the link

Open the pin, tap the Share icon and choose Copy link. pin.it short links are accepted.

Step 2: paste it

Open the Pinterest Video Downloader page and paste the link into the box. It starts on its own and shows a preview in a few seconds. You can also press the Paste button.

Step 3: save the file

Press the Download button. You get an MP4 video. On iPhone, use Safari, open the Downloads list and choose Share, Save Video. On Android and computers the file goes to your Downloads folder.

About quality

We return the best video file the platform serves. We do not re-encode it, so the quality you save is the quality it holds, commonly 720p or 1080p.

If it does not work

Short pin.it links work and are followed to the full pin. Boards and profiles have no single file, so paste the link of one pin.

Open the link in a private browser window. If it opens without logging in, it is public. Wait a minute and try again, as platforms sometimes limit requests for a short time.
