How to download a Pinterest image

What you can save from Pinterest

Public pin images in the largest size Pinterest publishes.

The Image tab on the Pinterest page of this site saves a JPG image. No account is needed and nothing is installed.

Step 1: copy the link

Open the pin, tap the Share icon and choose Copy link. pin.it short links are accepted.

Step 2: paste it

Open the Pinterest Downloader page and paste the link into the box. It starts on its own and shows a preview in a few seconds. You can also press the Paste button.

Step 3: save the file

Press the Download button. You get a JPG image. On iPhone, open the Downloads list in Safari, tap the picture and choose Share, Save Image. On Android the file goes to Downloads and shows in Gallery.

About quality

Pictures are saved at the largest public size the platform shares. The same picture you see in the post is what you get, with nothing added.

If it does not work

Short pin.it links work and are followed to the full pin. Boards and profiles have no single file, so paste the link of one pin.

Open the link in a private browser window. If it opens without logging in, it is public. Wait a minute and try again, as platforms sometimes limit requests for a short time.
