How to download a Bluesky video

What you can save from Bluesky

Photos and videos attached to public Bluesky posts.

The Video tab on the Bluesky page of this site saves an MP4 video. No account is needed and nothing is installed.

Step 1: copy the link

Open the post, tap the share icon and choose Copy link to post.

Step 2: paste it

Open the Bluesky Video Downloader page and paste the link into the box. It starts on its own and shows a preview in a few seconds. You can also press the Paste button.

Step 3: save the file

Press the Download button. You get an MP4 video. On iPhone, use Safari, open the Downloads list and choose Share, Save Video. On Android and computers the file goes to your Downloads folder.

About quality

We return the best video file the platform serves. We do not re-encode it, so the quality you save is the quality it holds, commonly 720p or 1080p.

If it does not work

Use the link of one post that contains /post/. Profile links and feeds do not point to a single post.

Open the link in a private browser window. If it opens without logging in, it is public. Wait a minute and try again, as platforms sometimes limit requests for a short time.
