How to download a 9GAG post

What you can save from 9GAG

Photos and videos from public 9GAG posts.

The 9GAG tab on the 9GAG page of this site saves an MP4 video. No account is needed and nothing is installed.

Step 1: copy the link

Open the post and copy its address, or tap Share and choose Copy link.

Step 2: paste it

Open the 9GAG Downloader page and paste the link into the box. It starts on its own and shows a preview in a few seconds. You can also press the Paste button.

Step 3: save the file

Press the Download button. You get an MP4 video. On iPhone, use Safari, open the Downloads list and choose Share, Save Video. On Android and computers the file goes to your Downloads folder.

About quality

We return the best video file the platform serves. We do not re-encode it, so the quality you save is the quality it holds, commonly 720p or 1080p.

If it does not work

Paste the link of a single 9GAG post. Posts that were removed or marked as sensitive may not be available.

Open the link in a private browser window. If it opens without logging in, it is public. Wait a minute and try again, as platforms sometimes limit requests for a short time.
